The Project
Telefónica partnered with Assent in 2017 to support compliance across a wide range of international standards, including ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), ISO 20000 (IT Service Management), ISO 22301 (Business Continuity), and ISO 27001 (Information Security). The project is ongoing and focuses on maintaining certification through structured internal audits and continual improvement activities.
Our Approach
Assent first assigned Robert Clements to the project. Shortly after, in 2018, we also assigned Gary Renton, an experienced multi-standard consultant, to work closely with Telefónica’s internal teams. Gary provides ongoing internal audit support across all standards, ensuring alignment with ISO requirements while integrating best practices into day-to-day operations. His consistent, structured approach has helped Telefónica manage complex compliance requirements effectively.
Outcome
With Assent’s long-term support, Telefónica Tech has successfully maintained strong, integrated management systems across all five ISO standards. The relationship continues to develop, and following a recent request, a new agreement has been issued to extend ongoing support and ensure continued compliance and improvement.
