Access Aerospace Contracts with AS9100. It’s easier than you think!

There are many small manufacturing businesses who are perfect for the aerospace supply chain but they are not yet accessing this lucrative world because they can’t evidence quality and control within their operations.

Some are ISO 9001 certified but many are not. Either way, achieving AS9100 the aerospace quality standard is not as difficult as you might think, and it opens the door to a huge opportunity!

Where to Start with AS9100?

Often, when we first meet with a client looking to achieve AS9100 and be entered onto the OASIS database, we find they are already doing a lot of good things.  The standard is all about precision and quality, which most manufacturers understand.

Our job as AS9100 consultants is to interpret the requirements of the standard and apply it to your organisation.

That’s why we often start with a short gap analysis exercise which helps us understand your processes and identify both the good practices already in place and the gaps that need to be filled..

Is AS9100 Certification Worth it?

There are bound to be some tweaks and improvements needed to level-up your operation in to a credible AS9100 aerospace supplier on the OASIS database, but these are minor compared with the opportunities that accessing the aerospace supply chain can bring!

Our expert consultants will guide you through the process with minimum disruption to your operations.

Does ISO 9001 Certification Help?

Yes! If you are already ISO 9001 certified this puts you a long way ahead.  AS9100’s clauses are aligned with ISO 9001, although it does apply stricter requirements and interpretations, including some additional clauses.

However, our consultants can use your existing QMS as the basis of an aerospace quality management system reducing costs and the time it takes to get AS9100 certified.

Does Operating to AS9100 Create Additional Overhead?

We build the requirements into your everyday processes, so the day-to-day overhead is minimal.  If you care about the quality of your output, and the precision engineering and manufacturing that UK firms are so good at, AS9100 won’t be a problem for you!
