ISO 20252:2019 Certification Success for Market Research company Leftfield International

Independent market research company Leftfield International has successfully certified to ISO 20252:2019 with support from Assent, the ISO Consultants.

The company has held certification to the previous 2012 version of ISO 20252 but engaged Assent’s help to transition to the latest edition and support the certification process with a UKAS accredited certification body.

Established in 2002, Leftfield International specialises in qualitative recruitment for market research.

Operating in the UK and internationally, Leftfield’s clients include advertisers, researchers, manufacturers, think tanks and strategic consultancies.

About the ISO 20252 Standard for Market Research

ISO 20252 provides the requirements for market research services and has been around since 2006 when it replaced British Standard BS 7911:2003.

The latest edition, 2019, includes some significant changes including 6 optional annexes covering various different disciplines of market research, which organisations can attest to in a statement of applicability.

There are also enhanced information security requirements. 

About the Project

Although Leftfield International already had a quality management system in place, there were many new requirements to understand and implement, including their chosen annexes: Annex A Sampling including Access Panels and Annex B Fieldwork.

Assent supported the company by completing a short ISO 20252 gap analysis exercise, followed by a targeted implementation project to help them attain compliance.

We also provided a full ISO 20252 internal audit to identify potential weaknesses and improvements.

In July 2023, after an impartial external audit by a UKAS accredited certification body we were pleased to confirm Leftfield’s certification to ISO 20252:2019!
