ISO/IEC 20000 is the international standard for I.T Service Management aligned with the ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) framework. It has been developed to enhance the quality of services delivered to both internal and external customers.
The standard is in 2 parts:
ISO 20000-1:2005: Specification. Defines the requirements for I.T Service Management. UKAS accredited bodies award Certification against part 1 of the standard.
ISO 20000-2:2005: Code of Practice. Provides guidance for internal auditors and those planning improvements to the service.
